Beware of this knock-off,

This is a knock-off of the reputable brand, Perfex, right down to the name ("Perfect" as opposed to Perfex). The main body is made of aluminum (which is misspelled on the box so that should give you a clue) but the grinding parts are made of soft plastic and not metal or ceramic. The aluminum parts are decent quality, but the inferior grinding mechanisms will fail miserably in the near future. What a big disappointment! Stay away even though it is a fraction of the cost of a genuine Perfex model.

Happy to see the desired quality in this pepper mill. Just recently switched to grinding the pepper corns instead of using commercially ground pepper. Nothing beats the taste. This mill is just great.
