I purchased these bluebird salt and pepper shakers for my niece and her husband to be used as the cake topper for their recent wedding. The bluebirds looked wonderful perched atop the cake and everyone commented on how adorable they were. Bluebirds were used as a special commemorative imagery throughout their wedding in honor of my mother - the bride's grandmother. My niece called me one day to ask if I had any of Grandma's bluebird figurines that they might use on the cake but none of those would have worked. So I searched on Amazon.com and was thrilled to find this little perky pair that have so much character. They don't just sit there - they make a statement! We were all thrilled with them and now my niece and her husband will always enjoy them as a special memory of their wedding day with thoughts of Grandma.

These are adorable, especially for the price. They're a bit larger than I expected, which is actually a good thing when my husband reaches for them with his big hands.

I purchased these "handsome salt and pepper shakers" as a gift to my husband for our 20th wedding anniversary. They are just as they are pictured. Obviously not fine china (the traditional 20th anniversary gift), but I feel a great value for the money. They make me smile when I see them and certainly bring a little extra cheer to the meals they accompany.
