Salt mill does not dispense salt in any kind of controlled or regular way. Sometimes you get a giant pile, sometimes you get almost nothing. But that's kind or irrelevant; see that white plastic cup shape on the bottom of the dispenser--on the bottom of the clear bulb? It breaks off, and all the salt comes dumping out.

It did this to me about 3 months after getting it. Used it probably 3 times a week to salt breakfast or a steak. I imagine it would explode on anyone who does serious cooking within a few days.

Not suitable for people who like less than an entire cup of rocksalt on their food.
