Product Description
Our handsome and oh-so-functional mill is a great alternative to manual grinders, which can be hard for some people to twist. Simply push the button to start the grinding process. A small light illuminates the bottom of the mill so that you can see exactly how much is being dispensed. Use with coarse sea salt and/or whole peppercorns only. Salt and peppercorns must be purchased separately. Requires 6 AAA batteries, not included.

Comment: I have had a salt mill the same as this one. I bought it for a gift for my granddaughter. She has always wanted one. She uses it everyday, she loves it.

Comment: These salt & pepper grinders are amazing! I originally bought the pepper mill, and have been very happy with that and thus bought the salt mill as well!
Here is why I like them:
1. Can be operated with only one hand (real reason why I bought them)
2. Look nice
3. As it grinds, the mill will shine a light onto the dish that you're grinding pepper/salt into
4. Stores a lot, so you don't have to refill frequently.
Downsides:
the only downside that I can think of is that the refilling & battery replacement is a 2-handed operation. Other than that, it's awesome.

Comment: Very little grind adjustment. It completely failed after about a year. Since then I have discovered that Cook's Illustrated won't suggest any electric mill. Perhaps as us "Baby Boomers" get older and develop arthritis someone will build a really good electric pepper grinder.

we didn't keep it as we found out it probably wouldn't have worked for true Sea salt which is damp & would get clogged up in the grinding mechanism. also wasn't crazy about the fact it took 6 AAA batteries to power.
