Fred and Friends Salt and Peeper

This item is cute, but I wouldn't recommend it. The head turns poorly and the holes for the salt and pepper are just a single hole for each, so the salt and pepper just pours out in one spot instead of being able to sprinkle it on your food. Plus, the bottom seems to fall out occasionally, making a giant mess.

This salt/pepper combo shaker is such a great idea. Just twist the head one way for salt, the other way for pepper. And, to top it off, he is just so cute. My son likes to act like the bird is throwing up on his food (8 year old humor at it's best!) BUT, more than once, the stoppers in the bottom of the shaker have fallen out, leaving a pile of salt or pepper on the table, and forcing us to have to find another shaker to use at the dinner table that night. Luckily it was on the table and not in our food! The stoppers are made of a rubber material, and for some reason just don't want to stay put. I ended up taping the stoppers to the bottom and will just re-tape them when I need to fill him up again. I only did it because it is really cute, and convenient to have both spices in one container. I bought this on Amazon, but we also saw it in the gift shop at SFMOMA, so he is adorable, AND artsy!

I love this little bird. I wish they had made this a little better, b/c after a while the stopper on the bottom shrinks and won't stay in. So the salt and pepper pours out. I hope they fix the problem, I love this little guy.
