Product Review

Galic Mills are recognized for their outstanding quality, modern design and superb value. Galic Upside-Down mills are versatile and feature a multi-purpose hard ceramic grinding mechanism designed to grind: peppercorns, dry sea salt, dried herbs and spices. Grind settings are fully adjustable from coarse to fine with a simple turn of the knob. The Upside-Down Mill mechanism is shaftless, which allows for a greater reservoir capacity and easy refilling. Because the mill rests on its reservoir end, (not on the mechanism end), your tabletop or countertop stays clean and free from fresh ground salt, spices or pepper. The Galic ceramic grinding mechanism comes with a 10 year warranty against manufacturing/materials defects. This pepper mill measures 6-inch in height and comes pre-filled with peppercorns.

I was actually pretty happy with my purchase of this product until today, when the bottom of it came off in my hands as I turned the mill over to grind pepper. It completely sheared off, not really sure why. I kept this on my counter, not near the stove, so I can only assume that the plastic was defective in some way during the manufacturing process. I'm very disappointed!

We purchased this pepper mill after a long time spent trying to find a reasonably priced mill. It appeared very good when it arrived, and we particularly liked the ability to vary the grind coarseness, but after about 2 weeks the mechanism sheared, and it was only good for the bin.
