Product Review

Galic Mills are recognized for their outstanding quality, modern design and superb value. Galic Upside-Down mills are versatile and feature a multi-purpose hard ceramic grinding mechanism designed to grind: peppercorns, dry sea salt, dried herbs and spices. Grind settings are fully adjustable from coarse to fine with a simple turn of the knob. The Upside-Down Mill mechanism is shaftless, which allows for a greater reservoir capacity and easy refilling. Because the mill rests on its reservoir end, (not on the mechanism end), your tabletop or countertop stays clean and free from fresh ground salt, spices or pepper. The Galic ceramic grinding mechanism comes with a 10 year warranty against manufacturing/materials defects. This pepper mill measures 6-inch in height and comes pre-filled with peppercorns.

Kind of hard to get used to the upside down concept. But I like this mill. It grinds the corns very well, very easy to set the size of the grind. Go ahead and throw out the corns that come with it. They are very stale.

Just as a couple other reviews warned, this is a piece of junk (search for "Galic pepper mill" and look at reviews on other colors of the same mill). It broke within 6 weeks of buying it. I only got about 1/3 of the way through the peppercorns that came with it, before a plastic internal piece broke. It's not even repairable with epoxy, so into the garbage it goes.

Even when this was working it didn't perform very well. Coarseness adjustments didn't work well and it didn't grind very fast.

Way happier with the $1.99 grinders + corns that come from Trader Joe's as they have lasted me several years and many refills.
