This looks like a good idea but do not buy it! It has two fundamental flaws: The openings for the pepper and salt compartments are so small they are nearly impossible to fill; if you do manage to get some product into them, it doesn't grind very well. The grinders make a very loud noise and not much ground material comes out.
two thumbs down,

Thank GOD this comes with a flashlight! I'm usually cooking in the dark, hence when I grind salt/pepper, illumination helps! I'm also very impressed by the funnel that comes with the product to add peppercorns and salt. Too bad it is too small to actually funnel peppercorns. Cute idea though. I've set it up as a sculpture near my cooking station. Whats that you say? You expected the 'S' side of the chamber to grind salt? nooooo....no grinding happening with salt. Little chunks fly out so you get to taste very concentrated bits of salt in your food. yum! This grinder gives you a new experience that no other grinder can mimic! 6 AA batteries! no grinding potential! Spice spills on your counters! Did I mention the flashlight!! Buy yours today.

I love this salt and pepper grinder. I brought one for myself and gave one as a gift and they love it to. I'm going to order another for gift.
