Hard to get a sense of this product from the photo but upon arrival inspection and now use, it could stand some redesign. If the opening was bigger an average sized man hand could easily reach in and grab some salt. If the well was deeper, it could hold more and spill out the front less.
Close but not perfect. Otherwise... it does hold salt.
