We have used one of these for years and this one was for my wife's sister for Christmas. What can I say, this grinder grinds pepper turned one way and salt turned the other. Its easy to oversalt if you can't find real coarse salt to fill it with. My only complaint is that it holds too little product. But I guess the other way to look at that is "if I didn't use it so often it wouldn't run out as often". Works as expected: both a salt mill and a pepper mill.

We bought this at a local store and it is a waste of money. The pepper side broke within a week and the finest grind is still really coarse. Look elsewhere.

This combination mill solves the problem of getting matching salt and pepper mills that both work for the table. The mill is compact and will work with most casual decors. It grinds pepper coarsely and salt to a medium grind. We have used it every day for 6 months with no complaints, and our guests ask where they can get one. Not elegant, and certainly not techy, but quite useful at a reasonable price.
