With the removal of the center shaft, the top knob has now been replaced with a magnetized stopper. This provides the double benefit of greater spice capacity and easier refilling. Madras features Peugeot's exclusive u'Select grind adjustment system, which allows the grind to be adjusted with a simple turn of your wrist! Turn the ring at the bottom of the mill in one direction to make the grind finer; turn in the other direction to make it coarser. Once the grind size is set, it will stay in place until the user changes it. This mill is equipped with Peugeot’s exceptional salt grinding mechanism: it is unlike anything else on the market. Its two ribbed plates are made from a stainless steel blend that offers resiliency, rigidity and resistance to corrosion from dry salts. When the mechanism is activated, the ribs work to twist and fracture each salt crystal to the desired size. Mill is 6-1/2-inches tall with a chocolate varnished finish.
