Featuring Peugeot's exclusive u'Select grind adjustment system, it allows the grind to be adjusted with a simple turn of your wrist! Turn the ring at the bottom of the mill in one direction to make the grind finer; turn in the other direction to make it coarser. Once the grind size is set, it will stay in place until the user changes it. This mill is equipped with Peugeot’s exceptional salt grinding mechanism: it is unlike anything else on the market. Its two ribbed plates are made from a stainless steel blend that offers resiliency, rigidity and resistance to corrosion from dry salts. When the mechanism is activated, the ribs work to twist and fracture each salt crystal to the desired size. Mill is 7-inches tall.

In my opinion, a good pepper grinder is a must in the kitchen. I have had the companion pepper grinder for some years now and I love it. It does an excellent job of grinding 6 different particle sizes. i can't say enough good about the pepper grinder. It looks really nice too and has a solid construction, quality feel to it.

so, when I decided to add a salt grinder, of course I wanted the matching one. I love the taste of natural salt. You can't get it from iodized salt (although that is still an important part of your diet...wouldn't want to get a goiter from lack of iodine or anything!) and sometimes the coarse sea salt or kosher salt you buy at the store is too big and chunky for just salting the food on your plate or a freshly popped bowl of popcorn, whatever. So, I got this salt grinder and it is slightly smaller than the pepper grinder.
