Add the coffee mechanism, which started it all, and there are seven unique Peugeot mechanisms. Each is designed to derive the most flavor and greatest aroma from its complementary spice. Aesthetically pleasing, Peugeot mills deliver the height of quality, durability, reliability and innovation; making these mills the ones to which all others are compared. Evoking the feel of a classic Parisian eatery, Bistro adds a subtle touch of elegance to your table top. This traditional mill is made of select French beech wood, inspired by one of Peugeot’s earliest mill shapes. The grind is adjusted by turning the top nut: turn it clockwise (tighten) for a finer grind; counter-clockwise (loosen) for a coarser grind. This mill is equipped with Peugeot’s legendary pepper grinding mechanism. Made of case-hardened steel, it has received additional treatment against wear and corrosion. Its double-row of helix-shaped claws grab and crack each peppercorn, before drawing it down to the teeth for the perfect grind. Mill is 4-inches tall with a white matte finish.

This is a great size for a table-side pepper mill. The Peugeot design is classic and it feels substantial (and comfortable) in your hands. My only disappointment is that it does not adjust the size of the grind very much, so a medium-size ground pepper is about all you can get.

Peugot does pepper grinders lots better than they do cars. This is a very nicely made product. Does what it's supposed to do. Looks nice, feels nice in your hand, though a little smaller than I expected. Just right, really, and it doesn't leak oil like the Peugot car I owned!
