Cut and shaped from select French beech wood, Fidji’s sleek silhouette is dressed with a brushed stainless steel top. Fidji u'Select features Peugeot's exclusive u'Select grind adjustment system, which allows the grind to be adjusted with a simple turn of your wrist! Turn the ring at the bottom of the mill in one direction to make the grind finer; turn in the other direction to make it coarser. Once the grind size is set, it will stay in place until the user changes it. This mill is equipped with Peugeot’s legendary pepper grinding mechanism. Made of case-hardened steel, it has received additional treatment against wear and corrosion. Its double-row of helix-shaped claws grab and crack each peppercorn, before drawing it down to the teeth for the perfect grind. Mill is 8-inches tall with a natural finish.

After being discouraged using so many plastic pepper mills, I decided to purchase this one because I had read good things about Peugeot. I selected this model because I preferred its looks. It is very pretty. It is also lightweight, easy to load and easy to use. The only issue is that sometimes the peppercorns get stuck and you can't grind. A simple smack with the side of your hand dislodges the stuck peppercorn and you can go about your business. It has several settings depending on how coarse or fine you prefer your pepper and it is easy to adjust. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

Very disappointed. Its grinds pepper fine, however the design and manufacture are not good. after one week of light use, simply setting it the counter has created small chips on the base exposing a pink color underneath. When adjusting the grind it also tightens or loosens the top forcing you to loosen or tighten it every time you adjust the grind. There is also a plastic insert that the top cap rubs against, so it does not seem like something that would last many years as you would expect. I will never buy another Peugeot product based on this experience.

Revision: The pepper mill now barely grinds pepper after a month. Don't waste your money on this extremely overpriced French garbage.
