Made of case-hardened steel, it has received additional treatment against wear and corrosion. Its double-row of helix-shaped claws grab and crack each peppercorn, before drawing it down to the teeth for the perfect grind. Onyx mill is 8-inches tall with a soft touch finish.

No more sore wrists from manually grinding pepper - great for my arthritis, and the light feature allows me to actually see how much pepper I am using. I also like the variable grind settings, overall sturdiness of the unit, and how sleek it looks on my granite countertop.

This mill works great. Imagine my surprise the first time I used it and found out it had a light in the base so you can see what your doing. My only complaint might be that on occasion i would like a finer grind that I can get by adjusting the unit, but in the scheme of things this is not a problem at all. Good mill and highly recommended.

I purchase this unit and Artesio soft touch Pepper grinder at the same time. After reading all the reviews for both units, I could not decide which one to purchase, so I brought both. As it turn out I like Artesio soft touch Pepper grinder better, because it is a lot cheaper and use AA battery. Both unit grind the pepper equally well. Make sure when you want to adjust the size of the pepper, you turn the unit upside down. You also need to tun the unit on and remove the peppers that are caught in between the grinder. Then you can adjust the pepper size to your liking. I guess I will save this unit for the guests.
