I've been looking at salt and pepper shakers for almost a year- and I just couldn't bond with anything I saw. I fell in love with the robots when I saw them and figured they'd be worth while for the novelty even if they sucked as actual shakers. But they didn't disappoint!
They're small, but I haven't had to do much refilling and they're really fun. Exactly as pictured and add a whole new twist on passing the salt.

The previous reviews are correct, the reservoir for the salt and pepper is very small. Also, I found the holes in the top of the pepper to be too small but I just twisted a fork in them to widen it up. That said, I haven't experienced any problems with the winding mechanism or with them walking. My roommates and I agreed that they were adorable and totally worth the cost for that fact alone. I received them as a christmas present and I'm so glad I got them. These are too cute to pass up, and even if the winder breaks they still work for their main purpose: holding salt and pepper. Don't regret asking for them at all :)

I bought these as a gift for my very geeky husband. He loved them, but the winding mechanism broke before we could even put pepper in the pepper roboot.
