After having owned several peppermills over the years, I was extremely pleased to use this fine piece of equipment. It is everything promised and more. Built solid as a tank and much bigger than I imagined, this grinder can produce copious amounts of coursely ground pepper in just a few cranks, yet makes a fine dusting on foods that require a refined and light grind. I love quality built tools and gadgets, and this mill screams quality. It is heavy and the nut that adjusts the grind and firmly keeps the handle attached is a solid piece of steel. The crank handle is large, and sure in its smooth operation. Further inspection reveals a steel grinding burr that will last forever! Trudeau has scored large on this mighty marvel of engineering and design perfection. I love it and would recommend it to all my good friends and family. Finally,as one can see in the photos of this mill, it is a beatiful piece of functional utility.

The mill is just okay. It takes a lot of effort to use this product. Not worth the money. I have a pair of battery powered mills that are 50 times better.
Even though they claim you can adjust the grind you can't. It comes out only in a very fine grind and I wanted a more coarse grind.
Don't waste your hard earned money.

I will concur with a previous poster that it is not easy to get extra course pepper from this grinder and also the rubber handle could use some type of lubrication. It makes so much squeaking when I use it. I am not 100% sold with its ability to dispense a lot of pepper quickly either. I like to use a lot of freshly ground pepper when I cook and I like to dispense it fast. However, for the dinner table it is perfectly adequate but not all that easy to turn. I would imagine that an eighty year old person might find these mills to be a bit of a workout to use.
Prior to buying this I had purchased the Zassenhaus from Kuchenprofi Heidelberg 6.3-Inch Stainless Steel Pepper Mill. Feel free to read my review on that product by going to my other reviews. To be honest, the Zassenhaus gave me extra course pepper and really pumped out a lot of pepper very fast and did so beyond my satisfaction.
