Comment: Great peppermill. Works great - exactly like I expected. Just two minor negatives...it could hold more peppercorns, and it is not real easy to refill since you have to take it apart from the bottom. If it had been refillable from the top, I'd give it 5 stars.

Comment: I bought this neat peppermill for my husband for Christmas. He is hard to buy gifts for. It is unusual and a conversation piece. He loves fresh pepper and he uses it every day. He loves it and shows it to his friends and demonstrates as well.

You turn it upside down and the peppermill will start grinding automatically. He loves it!

A great gift for someone you dont know what to give them when needing a gift to give. It is not expensive, uses AA batteries and it a nice piece for the table but a very practical one. The bottom half is a non-slip material and you can adjust the grind of the peppercorns to heavy, med or light grind.

A very good gift if you know someone who loves fresh pepper. Everyone who uses it loves the way it automatically grinds when turned upside down.

The best part is that is only takes one hand to have fresh pepper on your food. The peppermill stays clean too.

Comment: First, it should be noted...this is operated on batteries. If, after a month or two of constant use when you first get it, you notice slowing...Change the batteries. It came with batteries that didn't last long but I use rechargeable good batteries and it now lasts about 6 months or more before recharging.

Look, I know it takes no effort to shake out pepper, right? Thing is I far prefer fresh cracked pepper. This is easier and more fun than pre-cracked pepper, crazy as it sounds. And I know that sounds silly...'til you use these. Every time I have a dinner party someone copies down the name to get my salt and pepper shakers. People turn it upside down to shake then suddenly it begins grinding for them. And then they get that funny look on their face.

Because...You just flip upside down, it senses the gravity, and it automatically grinds. No button. No shaking. No turning. This is best when I'm cooking and want to add salt and pepper. I can stir with one hand and just lift the shaker in the other and get fresh sea salt and fresh ground pepper. That sounds crazy til you try it...I think usage is its best selling point. I also get an exact amount. Salt used to get clogged in my salt shaker and sometimes I'd get too little on a dish, or shake out too much. This does the work for you so it's more of an exact measurement...you know how much is going in.

I have a set, my parents have a set, my brother has a set, many of my friends now have a set. It's like a viral salt and pepper shaker. You use it once and suddenly you have it.

Negatives: Trying to figure out how to get it started for the first time. Tiny directions and a tad confusing. But all you do is twist the bottom, and then remove the tag on the batteries. Then it works. I am sorry to say that took me a few times before I figured that out.

Comment: I am a serious black pepper fan. I use it in about everything. I have owned several electric pepper grinders and this is by far the best. I love that its one-handed, there is no button to push, and it makes no mess when you set it down like every other bottom grinder does. The grinder adjuster works very well from coarse cracked pepper to a fine grind - and it stays where you set it without drifting like some of the other ones I've had - the ceramic grinder is nice. The only negative is it doesn't hold enough pepper for someone like me, so I have to fill it more often. But its still my favorite. Its also fun to put on the table when you have company and watch people try to figure out how to use it. (:
