This battery operated pepper mill from Trudeau is amazingly easy to use! Simply flip the mill upside down and it will grind automatically. No button to push, gravity will activate the grinder. Features an easy to fill peppercorn chamber, an adjustable ceramic grinder that can be used for pepper corns or sea salt crystals. Requires 6 batteries, not included. Under normal use batteries should last more than 1 year.

Summary: LOVE THEM! Family loves them, every guest loves them! 2010-07-15
Comment: Love these pepper/salt mills. My husband bought me one at a local gourmet cooking store for christmas for salt....and I went back in early January to buy another for pepper...but they were sold out :( They said they sold hundreds at Christmas...so I had to wait. Didn't even know that Amazon sold them. I use the stainless and put salt in one and pepper in the other ...since they are clear in the middle you can see which is which. I like them as a matched set all sainless. I just bought 3 more sets. One more set for me because nothing else compares and I like to keep a set on the table and a set near where I prepare food on my island and 2 more sets to give as gifts....friends, my mom, wedding gifts etc. It's been 8 months and never a problem. The batteries(6)lasted 6 months before I had to replace them and we use them A LOT! I thought at first the grinding battery sound would bother me at the dinner table but the one handed operation (just tip it upside down, no button to push or anything)is just so wonderful the sound is not an issue for me.

Comment: This product did not work, I returned it. I have purchased a different model for my daughter and hers has worked for years. I just purchased another one for her. It is working at this time.

Comment: Great peppermill. Works great - exactly like I expected. Just two minor negatives...it could hold more peppercorns, and it is not real easy to refill since you have to take it apart from the bottom. If it had been refillable from the top, I'd give it 5 stars.
