Trudeau Gem 7-Inch Pepper Mill and Salt Mill, Set of 2

After a long search, with many requirements (I'm picky), I chose this salt and pepper mill set. I wanted a salt MILL, not a SHAKER. I wanted the set to be tall enough to not have to refill too often, short enough not to tip over in a breeze, and handsome enough to fit my country kitchen decor (but equally as adorning for buffet or barbeque).

Most of all, I never wanted to hear again how my husband can't tell them apart or that nothing's coming out!

This set's a winner for all these reasons. Stately chiseled acrylic in a charming kitchen-faucet'y style, complete with "S" and "P" on top of the chrome adjuster knobs, wipeable, adjustable, and identifiable from across the table.

The salt mill is safe from corrosion because of its ceramic grinder and I love being able to see the salt crystals and peppercorns and how long it's apt to be before I have to refill the mills.I'm thoroughly pleased with this purchase and so is he - not a small feat!

I love having a grinder for my salt and pepper. Too many of the sets have a grinder only for the pepper. This allows me to use fresh sea salt. Better for you and tastier. My old set was 10 years old and finally broke. I'd been shopping for a new set and most places wahted $30 each for the tall grinders (6 or 7 inches). To get both grinders for that price was a real find and a great value. They are made like my old set, so I hope these last another 10 years. Even if they only last 5 years, it's still a wonderful value. And, they came preloaded with both salt and pepper.

I bought this set to replace an older set very similar to these. (I had the old set for years and they finally wore out). The size of this new set are a little shorter, and frankly, look better being shorter then my old set. I would buy another set of these salt and pepper shakers without hesitation. They are built very well too. I think anyone would enjoy owning these salt and pepper shakers.
