Product Review
Product Description
Many of our authorities thought this 9" tall, contemporary black pepper mill was top notch- it met all our criteria: a comfortable grip, a grind that is easily adjustable, and a nut at the base that is independent of the loading ring in the mill's body--so there's no need to reset the grind after refilling. It holds over a cup of peppercorns that are easily added through the large hole on the side of the mill, and works very fast & efficiently, according to Cook's Illustrated, who includes it in their "Best" category. The grinding mechanism has nickel-plated heads that will maintain their cutting edges and won't rust. The Magnum Plus has a lifetime guarantee. Not battery-operated.
Comment: Simply put, this is the best pepper mill I've ever used. It actually can do a fine grind which none of my previously purchased pepper mills were able to accomplish.

Summary: Best Pepper Grinder Ever.... 2010-03-09
Comment: I learned about this grinder while watching America's Test Kitchen. This grinder is a perennial feature at the top of their grinder test results and that is why I bought it. The grinder puts out a crazy amount of pepper with little effort, watch out. My only complaint is that it doesn't look to great. Essentially, it looks like a tapered piece of abs pipe. Still... I feel this is the best grinder ever. When it breaks, if it does, I will get another.

Summary: One down more to go, the best we have ever had 2010-02-28
Comment: The first one we bought just died after about 5 years of daily use, many times multiple uses per day. This is by far the best pepper grinder we have ever had. I'm out here buying another, actually another two in case it is not available 5 years from now. The fact that I can still buy the same item after about 5 years says a lot. It holds a lot of pepper and adjusts easily. I do wish the filler rotated the other way but for the most part this is not a problem.

Summary: Quality Pepper Mill 2010-02-25
Comment: I hesitated to purchase this mill as it is pricey, but glad that I finally did so. In the past, I have had other mills that were hard to fill and had very little grind adjustment. This mill, recommended by Cook's Illustrated, is user friendly as it fills easily from a side port and I am able to adjust the grind without a problem. I would highly recommend it as it is a quality mill and will probably last a good long time. So it is money well spent!

Summary: World's best pepper grinder--really! 2010-02-06
Comment: You know, you never know what's going to make a difference in your life. Even a pepper grinder. What I love aboout this one: it holds a LOT, it's VERY easy to refill (no more chasing peppercorns all over the counter), and it grinds so fast, so well. You know how some recipes call for a teaspoon of "freshly ground black papper"? Who has time to do that with a normal grinder? With this one, do it over a bowl, and you have it in less than a minute. Looks nice too. I know it's a small thing in this world today, but it's something. :)
