This review is from: VF by Fresco Stainless Steel and Acrylic Combo Salt and Pepper Mill, 8" (Kitchen) I have several Vic Firth and a few other brands of salt and pepper mills. I grew up on them so, they are a necessity it seems. These days you will find many types and makes of pepper and salt mills yet, almost all of them "chop" the pepper corns and do not have a setting which will stay put nor grind the pepper as it should. Vic Firth has the right pepper mill and the salt mill even though it is "nylon" it does a spendid job in milling up the kosher salt chunks sold in the stores. You cannot find an easier place to shop and find great Vic Firth products than Amazon dot com. This style is my favorite as it stands very sturdy and has a larger top diameter for big hands. My second favorite is the Mario then the Federal. 10 of 10 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) It looks sleek, it is easy to fill, easy to see when it needs refilling, feels good in the hands and works well. Unlike many of these combos, the capacity for salt and pepper are more equal. I have had brands with levers to push and they tend to wear out or break. The turning action in this one seems much more durable. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This one grinds very well and you can adjust how fine you want it to grind. The only complaint I have is that I don't really like the salt reservoir although it doesn't compromise the use of the product. |
