I have been looking for a solid pepper mill and with all the choices it was hard. I saw this was made in America and quality made so I went for it. Love the color choices and the grinder is metal so should never wear out. Totally quality piece and the pepper pours out on any setting. No grinding and grinding to get pepper out on a fine setting. I keep it out instead of in the cupboard because of how beautiful it is. Don't waste your time on cheap, because that is what you get when you buy cheap. And American made and the quality shows!

The salt grinder works well. I filled it with coarse kosher salt, and I haven't had any problems with the salt grinding. It puts out a reasonable amount of salt with each twist. It definitely looks nicer than having a bowl of salt on the table.

I found it a little difficult to put the screw back on top, and the color was lighter than my vic firth enchantment walnut pepper mill. I assume it's because of the different densities of natural wood. It makes it easy to distinguish the salt from the pepper, but I'd prefer it if the colors matched a better. -1 star for the color issue.
