Vic Firth KIS07PM22124 7-Inch Kismet Pepper Mill, Cinnabar with White "Pepe"

If you like your pepper milled, this might be the mill for you. It delivers a tasty grind, first crushing the peppercorns and then grinding them. It feels good in the hand and looks beautiful in the Cinnabar color. Having had many less expensive mills that have fallen apart, I was willing to spend the money for this one hoping that the lifetime guarantee would mean it was the last mill I'd have to buy. The only issue I encountered was that I had been struggling with getting the grind right, but just couldn't figure out how to do it. So, I called Vic Firth and was immediately put through to their very gracious Quality Control Engineer who clearly explained how to adjust it (along with several other useful tips on care and maintenance). My suggestion to Vic Firth is that they include instructions, which would save time and effort for the customer and their employees.

I have not had a good pepper mill for several years so I had great hopes for this one with its guarantee. Unfortunately, I shall have to return this. I found it troublesome to fill (unlike the salt mill) and the most I've every be able to grind is just a few small specks of pepper. (I watched the video and it does not appear that I am doing anything wrong.) I am very disappointed.
