I have to say, for most products that I purchase with a "Lifetime" warranty I don't think twice about just replacing the product if it brakes. I have had my Vic Firth Seirra grinder for about 5 years when one day it just stopped putting out pepper. I cleaned it several times to no avail. upon closer examination I found the grinder part was no longer welded to the stem. I reached out to Vic Firth Gourmet, and after a few pictures and emails I had the replacement part at no cost and a bottle of Vic Firth Signature Peppercorns for the inconvenience. even though I had an issue with mine, I HIGHLY recommend any of their products. It's something you get for a "Lifetime"

This is what I always want in a pepper mill--sturdy, sleek, easily adjustable coarseness of grind and a joy to use. It holds enough pepper that I am not constantly having to refill it, but it is not so large that it is clumsy to use. It is not inexpensive, but really good pepper mills never are. I like lots of fresh pepper on my salad, and this mill is helping me to eat healthier meals. This pepper mill is outstanding and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I recently had to buy a new pepper grinder. I did my research and looked around a lot this was the only one that I really liked the look of and it took me a good while to talk myself into the price tag. I had paid 20 bucks for my last grinder and it worked fine or so I thought. This thing is worth every freakin' penny I spent on it. There is some serious quality here and I am very pleased with my purchase.
