This innovative Pump &Grind Salt takes only one hand to operate perfect if you're holding a sandwich and want to add a little flavor! The slick stainless-steel cylinder has a thumb press button that automatically grinds sea salt or fleur de sel without twisting. A clear window lets you monitor the level of salt flakes so you know when It's time to refill.

A large button on the top of the mill is pushed with the thumb to operate the grinding mechanism, making the mill a snap to grab in order to salt a dish while stirring with the other hand. Producing freshly ground salt ranging from coarse to fine, the grinding mechanism works effortlessly and removes for easy cleaning.
Six inches tall and quite slim, the Pump and Grind features a patented viewing window for distinguishing the salt mill from its matching pepper mill counterpart, and for viewing the level of salt crystals in order to prevent a shortage at a crucial moment. Summary: What a star product 2010-02-01

Comment: I love this salt mill. With the moisture issues solved and only a small quantity in use at any one time, this is perfect for me. I like the one-handed use which is ideal when I cook. In addition, the stainless steel grinding mechanism ensures it always works well. The bonus is the visual delight of seeing it sitting on the table! It looks very modern and matches the modern table settings effortlessly. I also bought the pepper mill.

Comment: This appears to be a high quality pump style grinder however, when I received the product, I was surprised to find that it had a large black logo of a grill manufacturer on the side of it. I used a rubbing compound and LOTS of elbow grease and was finally able to get it off. I also had to return one as the top of the pump handle broke off after just a couple of uses. I had no problems with the exchange. Otherwise the product works well and looks great!

Comment: Stylish, worked well at first, handling dry, coarse salt. Within a few months, it began to come apart regularly, just falls apart, dumping the contents of salt on your plate! Disappointing.

Comment: Works very well, but it's kinda on the small side (probably better for table setting). Gives your hand a good workout. I hope it lasts longer than the battery operated one I have that broke down after a year.

Comment: I got the salt grinder as a gift and I think it's the cat's meow! It is so much more convenient to salt food with one hand. The thumb pump works well and the grinder creates a nice shower of salt over the food. The only quibble (preventing a 5 star review) is that the mill has a small capacity and tends to spill a bit in the re-filling process.
