The best flavors come from freshly ground and crushed salt or pepper. This high-tech Titan Stainless Steel Pepper Mill from William Bounds features battery powered operation at the push of a button as well as a light to assist with spotting how much you have ground and where. The handsome pepper mill features a sleek brushed stainless exterior and stands 8 inches tall. Operation is simple, turn the bottom to adjust the three-step patented mechanism and press the button. The mill will grind to your desired coarseness, adding that delicious kick to your soups, salad, meats or vegetables.

the pepper mill itself is classy-looking, but it came in one of those "hang-up" see-through plastic containers that was dusty, dirty and the lid was torn. I would have thought for the price, it would have at least come in a box that could be wrapped. Fortunately, I checked it out before I wrapped it as a gift. It came with batteries so I filled it with peppercorns, put the batteries in and tried it. Nothing. checked the battery position and the assembly and tried again. Nothing. I was getting ready to pack it up to return, but decided to try new batteries first. Low and behold, it worked. Batteries were no good. By the looks of the packaging and condition of the batteries, this had been sitting on a warehouse shelf for a long time. But the bottom line is, it works now and my son-in-law loves it.
