Wolfgang Puck WP2MILLS Electric Salt-and-Pepper Mill Set

These are very poor quality. within about 10 days both the unit cracked just under the batteries. Weak and did not grind effecitively.

Friends have another brand (unknown make) whose light allows you to see how much salt is coming out and I liked this so I tried the Puck version. The light is ineffective, completely, unless you dine in the dark. The grind on the salt if fairly course.

First of all I would like to say that the design of the product is beautiful and if it would work I would really enjoy it. The electric motor doesn't have a direct drive to the grinders and when it hits something hard it will disengage from grinding. I have Himmalayan Rock Salt and it is quite hard to grind so in order to make it work I must first grind the salt in a pepper mill and then it will feed it. The same is true with the peppermill but that will work about 80% of the time.
