I bought these not realizing they took so many batteries but was very dissapointing when I couldnt get the top off one of the mills to fill now I have my good battries stuck in the mill the mills also doesnt hold much so your having to fill quite often and I do have arthritis and it is very hard to use im not happy and I would not reccomend this I bought mine from hsn

I bought mine through Kohl's (these are cheaper but I had Kohl's cash to spend). I was very excited to get my red salt and pepper mill but when I got them they really were not as exciting as I had hoped. They take 6AAA batteries each. That is a lot of batteries. I am sure that they last a long time but it is still a lot of batteries to get a hold of at one time.

I filled my mills and put the many batteries in and decided to see how well they worked. The original adjustments for the coarseness of the grind were way off. It took me several tries to finally get it set so that I think I am getting what I want. It was hard to tell which way to turn the adjustment to make it more fine or more coarse. I feel like I don't have as much control with these mills as I do with a manual mill and I'm not sure I'm really saving any energy.
