I used to constanty wear out my mortor / pessle with grinding up fresh herbs, which in turn, wore out my arm. These have completely eliminated the looong hours of having to do that with a couple of twists here & there...*poof*...produces perfectly ground herbs at all different sizes of granules. Extremely high quality - I absolutely love them!
